The Birth of An Island
In the beginning, life was not formed
A mountain appeared, and seemed so forlorn
Then added to the mountain, a liquid rose higher
And "The Birth of An Island" arose out of fire
The beauty that came with this lava so red
On all of men's dreams this fire is fed
They dream of the taming, of this aqueous flame
And dream of the day that this burning they'll tame
The island that sits, in the void all alone
Is where spirits arise and call this liquid hell home
From rapacious balls of fire that cudgel the earth
Is how form came to be, and the planet gave birth
So when you wake in the morning, or repose in the night
Remember the island that shines liquidly light
A grandeur of nature, this island persists
"The Birth Of An Island", is Creation's best gift
